 Young Adult Ministry

Who We Are

The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) in New Kensington–Lower Burrell is a group of young adults, grounded in the Catholic faith, who strive together to deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ. In faith sharing, we break open the word of God and seek to apply it to our lives through prayer, discussion, and short videos.

We seek to put our faith into actions through service projects in local communities and strive to grow in Christian fellowship through social events. Past and future events include, Pittsburgh Pirates' Faith Night, Pittsburgh Steelers parties, cookouts, Christmas parties, game nights, Laser Tag and a hiking excursion.

All adults are welcome, especially those between 18-35 years of age.

Faith Sharing
Seeking to grow in your faith? Journey with us on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month. We support one another in faith, friendship and fellowship through these gatherings in the Freude Room in the St. Margaret Mary Parish Center, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

If you are interested in learning more about the Young Adult meetings, please contact the parish office.

 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

The Dead Theologians Society, grades 9 to 12, meets one Sunday evening a month in a room prepared just for them in the Religion Center. Youth study the lives of the saints, who are the dead theologians. High school youth also attend a three-day conference every summer at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. All young people are welcome.
